Advil Liqui-Gels is an NSAID. Exactly how it works is not known. It may block certain substances in the body that are linked to inflammation. NSAIDs treat the symptoms of pain and inflammation. They do not treat the disease that causes those symptoms.

Most important: Advil Liqui-Gels may cause dizziness or drowsiness. These effects may be worse if you take it with alcohol or certain medicines. Use Advil Liqui-Gels with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you react to it.

Serious stomach ulcers or bleeding can occur with the use of Advil Liqui-Gels. Taking it in high doses or for a long time, smoking, or drinking alcohol increases the risk of these side effects. Taking Advil Liqui-Gels with food will NOT reduce the risk of these effects. Contact your doctor or emergency room at once if you develop severe stomach or back pain; black, tarry stools; vomit that looks like blood or coffee grounds; or unusual weight gain or swelling.

Talk to your doctor before you take Advil Liqui-Gels if you drink more than 3 drinks with alcohol per day.

Do NOT take more than the recommended dose or use for longer than 10 days for pain or 2 days for sore throat without checking with your doctor.

If you have pain that does not get better within 10 days or fever that does not get better within 3 days, check with your doctor. If your symptoms get worse or if you have new symptoms, check with your doctor.

Check with your doctor if you have a severe or persistent sore throat. Check with your doctor if you have a sore throat with fever, headache, nausea, and vomiting.

Advil Liqui-Gels has ibuprofen in it. Before you start any new medicine, check the label to see if it has ibuprofen in it too. If it does or if you are not sure, check with your doctor or pharmacist.

Advil Liqui-Gels has potassium in it. If you are on a low potassium diet, or you take medicines that are affected by potassium, check with your doctor before you take Advil Liqui-Gels.

Do not take aspirin while you are using Advil Liqui-Gels unless your doctor tells you to.

Use Advil Liqui-Gels with caution in the ELDERLY; they may be more sensitive to its effects, including stomach bleeding and kidney problems.

Different brands of Advil Liqui-Gels may have different dosing instructions for CHILDREN. Follow the dosing instructions on the package labeling. If your doctor has given you instructions, follow those. If you are unsure of the dose to give a child, check with your doctor or pharmacist.

PREGNANCY and BREAST-FEEDING: Advil Liqui-Gels may cause harm to the fetus. Do not take it during the last 3 months of pregnancy. If you think you may be pregnant, contact your doctor. You will need to discuss the benefits and risks of taking Advil Liqui-Gels while you are pregnant. It is not known if Advil Liqui-Gels is found in breast milk. Do not breast-feed while taking Advil Liqui-Gels.

Actron is in a group of drugs called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Actron works by reducing hormones that cause inflammation and pain in the body.

Actron is used to treat pain or inflammation caused by arthritis. It is also used to treat menstrual pain.

Most important: This medicine can increase your risk of life-threatening heart or circulation problems, including heart attack or stroke. Do not use this medicine just before or after having heart bypass surgery (also called coronary artery bypass graft, or CABG).

Seek emergency medical help if you have symptoms of heart or circulation problems, such as chest pain, weakness, shortness of breath, slurred speech, or problems with vision or balance.

This medicine can also increase your risk of serious effects on the stomach or intestines, including bleeding or perforation (forming of a hole). These conditions can be fatal and gastrointestinal effects can occur without warning at any time while you are taking ketoprofen. Older adults may have an even greater risk of these serious gastrointestinal side effects.

Call your doctor at once if you have symptoms of bleeding in your stomach or intestines. This includes black, bloody, or tarry stools, or coughing up blood or vomit that looks like coffee grounds.

Actimmune is a protein identical to one found in the body. How Actimmune works is not fully understood. It is thought to enhance the action of cells the body uses in defense against certain diseases.

Most important:

Flu-like symptoms caused by this drug can be lessened by taking Actimmune at bedtime. Use a nonprescription medicine to prevent or lessen fever and headache.

Actimmune may lower your body’s ability to fight infection. Prevent infection by avoiding contact with people with colds or other infections. Notify your doctor of any signs of infection, including fever, sore throat, rash, or chills.

Actimmune may reduce the number of clot-forming cells (platelets) in your blood. Avoid activities that may cause bruising or injury. Tell your doctor if you have unusual bruising or bleeding. Tell your doctor if you have dark, tarry, or bloody stools.

Lab tests, including blood cell counts, kidney and liver function tests, and urine tests, may be performed while you use Actimmune. These tests may be used to monitor your condition or check for side effects. Be sure to keep all doctor and lab appointments.

Caution is advised when using Actimmune in CHILDREN; they may be more sensitive to its effects, especially elevated liver enzyme levels.

Actemra (tocilizumab) reduces the effects of a substance in the body that can cause inflammation.

Actemra is used to treat moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis in adults. It is sometimes used in together with other arthritis medications. Tocilizumab is usually given after other medications have been tried without successful treatment of symptoms.

Most important: Serious and sometimes fatal infections may occur during treatment with Actemra. Contact your doctor right away if you have signs of infection such as: fever, chills, body aches, flu symptoms, cough, sweating, feeling short of breath, diarrhea, weight loss, sores on your skin, painful urination, or feeling very tired.

Before you start treatment with Actemra, your doctor may perform tests to make sure you do not have tuberculosis or other infections.

Tell your doctor if you have an active or recent infection, liver disease or hepatitis B, diabetes, diverticulitis, stomach ulcer or bleeding, high cholesterol, multiple sclerosis, HIV/AIDS, a weak immune system, or a history of cancer.

Actemra can lower the blood cells that help your body fight infections. Avoid being near people who are sick or have infections.

Do not receivea “live” vaccine while you are being treated with Actemra.

Treatment with Actemra may increase your risk of developing certain types of cancer. Talk to your doctor about your specific risk.

Treating certain conditions associated with decreased adrenal gland function. It is also used to treat severe inflammation caused by certain conditions, including severe asthma, severe allergies, rheumatoid arthritis, ulcerative colitis, certain blood disorders, lupus, multiple sclerosis, and certain eye and skin conditions. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.

A-methapred Solution is a corticosteroid. It works by modifying the body’s immune response to various conditions and decreasing inflammation.

Most important: A-methapred Solution may lower the ability of your body to fight infection. Avoid contact with people who have colds or infections. Tell your doctor if you notice signs of infection like fever, sore throat, rash, or chills.

If you have not had chickenpox, shingles, or measles, avoid contact with anyone who does.

Tell your doctor or dentist that you take A-methapred Solution before you receive any medical or dental care, emergency care, or surgery.

Diabetes patients – A-methapred Solution may affect your blood sugar. Check blood sugar levels closely. Ask your doctor before you change the dose of your diabetes medicine.

Talk with your doctor before you receive any vaccine while you are using A-methapred Solution.

A-methapred Solution has benzyl alcohol in it. Do not use it in NEWBORNS or INFANTS. It may cause serious and sometimes fatal nervous system problems and other side effects.

Lab tests, including adrenal function, blood pressure monitoring, and eye exams, may be performed while you use A-methapred Solution. These tests may be used to monitor your condition or check for side effects. Be sure to keep all doctor and lab appointments.

A-methapred Solution may interfere with skin allergy tests. If you are scheduled for a skin test, talk to your doctor. You may need to stop taking A-methapred Solution for a few days before the tests.

Corticosteroids may affect growth rate in CHILDREN and teenagers in some cases. They may need regular growth checks while they use A-methapred Solution.

A-methapred Solution should be used with extreme caution in CHILDREN; safety and effectiveness in children have not been confirmed.

PREGNANCY and BREAST-FEEDING: If you become pregnant, contact your doctor. You will need to discuss the benefits and risks of using A-methapred Solution while you are pregnant. It is not known if A-methapred Solution is found in breast milk. If you are or will be breast-feeding while you use A-methapred Solution, check with your doctor. Discuss any possible risks to your baby.

Vi-Atro affects the body in many different ways, such as reducing spasms in the bladder, stomach, and intestines.

Vi-Atro is an antidiarrheal medication.

The combination of Vi-Atro is used to treat diarrhea.

Most important: If you are giving this medication to a child, pay close attention to the dose. An Vi-Atro overdose is more likely to occur in a child, and can cause breathing problems or result in death or permanent brain damage.

Use only the liquid form of this medicine in a child younger than 13 years old. Do not give Vi-Atro tablets to a child under 13.

Drink extra water while you are taking this medication to keep from getting dehydrated. It may take up to 48 hours of using this medicine before your symptoms improve. For best results, keep using the medication as directed. Talk with your doctor if your symptoms do not improve after 10 days of treatment.
